Biography

I focus on underwater and insect photography. I have been diving for 25 years, taking underwater images for most of that time. I live in Bali and enjoy the diverse diving in Indonesia.

Any special artistic influences?
I first try to get a technically acceptable image, maybe even capture some behaviour. If I manage that, and have some air left, I will look for a new angle or lighting – happens rarely!
What is the best photographic advice that you have ever received?
"Get closer", "Take lots and delete lots", and "Be organised'!
If you weren’t a photographer, what would you be?
Bored.
